Embarking

Well this is the start of something new for me. I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Christopher Ryan Ward. I was born in Salem Oregon in the fall of 1984. A few years later my family moved out the the deserts of Eastern Oregon.

Twenty-One years later, here I am; back in Salem. I brought with me my wife and cat and our belongings in search of new horizons.

I work for a non-profit organization here. The work is mundane and repetitive but easy enough. I work in the finance department taking care of payables. I work with good people and have great bosses.

I am a novice Graphics Designer. I started a few years ago with a bootleg copy of Photoshop 6.0 and an older HP computer. Since then I have become familiar with the latest versions of Adobe’s Creative Suite. I love doing Graphic Art. It inspires me to be better at things.

I am also a musician. I have been playing music since I was 10 years old. I learned on my mom’s guitar and eventually started to buy my own equipment around the age of 13. I have a side hobby of recording and song writing. I could only wish to be successful enough to sell records and tour.

I guess that’s part of the reason we needed to leave Eastern Oregon. I love it there. It is my home. But we needed something more. Something new. Some sort of inspiration. Hopefully that’s what I’ll gain out of moving here and starting this site/blog. I will try to update this blog every day that I possibly can. In fact, I mean to.
